The Problem
UK Legislation changes have made Returning Officers responsible for enabling blind and partially sighted voters to mark a ballot paper independently, in secret and with confidence.
The Solution
The McGonagle Reader, Pakflatt’s patented audio voting system was successfully trialled with Irish Organisations for blind and partially sighted citizens in April 2022. (The results of this trial are published in the McGonagle Reader brochure which is downloadable in PDF format from the downloads page).
The prototype system was also trialled in a live By-Election in Broadlands District Council in Norwich in October 2022. The feedback was very positive and the system is now being finessed for a production run.
